Today I wanted to get some of my assessment done prior to spending my weekend at rowing, so I decided to do my poet’s biographies. What I did is just get all my sheets of paper that my information was one, order it in chronological order and themes, then type it up on a word document. However after doing my first poet ( Martin Niemöller) I realized I had way too much information and was over the word limit by more than double. I then went through and had to pick out the most important times in his life and reword some sentences. Although this was quite time consuming, it really helped me with my next poet (Alexander Kimel) because when I wrote his, I knew to go over all my facts before and only include the key ones. It also got my to be more self correcting and thoroughly edit because I was reading the biography over and over, so I picked up on numerous mistakes.
